Klebende Oberflächenschutzfolien haften auf der Oberfläche und bleiben auch bei Transport oder Bearbeitung sicher an Ort und Stelle. Nicht klebende Schutzfolien liegen lose auf oder werden anderweitig fixiert und eignen sich für Anwendungen, bei denen keine Haftung erforderlich ist.

Opak schwarz-weiße Schutzfolien werden eingesetzt, wenn zusätzlich ein Licht- oder Sichtschutz erforderlich ist oder empfindliche Oberflächen vor UV-Einstrahlung geschützt werden sollen.
