Information about Big Bags
A Big Bag (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container, FIBC) is a flexible bulk container made from durable woven polypropylene fabric. It is used for the storage, transportation, and disposal of bulk materials and other products.
Big Bags are commonly used for:
- Plastic granules
- Construction materials
- Sand and gravel
- Animal feed
- Fertilizers
- Chemicals
- Wood pellets
- Recyclable materials
- Powders and granules
- High load capacity
- Low tare weight
- Space-saving storage when empty
- Easy filling and emptying
- Cost-efficient transport of large quantities
- Wide range of customizable features
Big Bags are generally suitable for short-term outdoor storage. For extended storage periods, additional protection against UV radiation and weather conditions is recommended, for example by using protective covers or storing them in sheltered areas.
The woven polypropylene (PP) fabric is resistant to moisture. For moisture-sensitive products, additional liners or covers can be used to provide enhanced protection against humidity.
When empty, Big Bags can be folded flat to save space. They should be stored in a dry, clean location and protected from direct sunlight.
